Pioneer Women
A Pioneer Woman is defined as, "A woman who goes before, preparing the way for others to follow." We as members practice and teach the frontier crafts used by our forebears of quilting, weaving, tatting, spinning, etc. They present demonstrations of these pioneer crafts in the Pioneer Village and at the Historical Society Museum. They meet every Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. til noon downstairs at the History Center in the Hughes room. Visitors are always welcome. Membership is open to anyone. For more information call 812-988-2899.
